PayTel - pay TV system
Pay-Tel is a pay television system that offers a wider range of programmes across cable TV which is available in hotels, boarding houses or other facilities of similar kind, as well as in other large networks providing cable TV signal to a large number of subscribers in several buildings.
The system is particularly attractive to those who provide accommodation. It widens the range of services, improves the standard of the facility and makes the stay more enjoyable, at the same time allowing the owners to earn some more extra money. The PayTel system consist of the following functional component parts:
• channel selector/billing software in reception
• TGP-100 – main terminal (e.g. in reception)
• TAP-100 – subscriber terminal (card readers, room-mounted channel access controller)
• GFP-100 – subscriber socket with Ff connectors (in rooms)
• GCP-100 – subscriber socket with IEC connector in the RadiusMax housing (in rooms)
• Chip Card – (recommended to be replaced with a new one after about on year’s use).
If the chip card is inactive and/or is not inserted into the TAP-100 subscriber terminal, only ‘free’ channels on the basic offer are available on the TV set.
